You can’t relax
You can’t remember the last time you woke up in the morning feeling relaxed and rested. Before you even open your eyes in the morning, your mind is on overdrive and your thoughts are spinning. It feels like a heavy weight is sitting on your chest. Forget thinking about the fun things in life, you’re just trying to figure out how to get through the day with this gnawing feeling that something is just not right inside.
You can’t focus
You’re finding it more difficult to focus and you notice that you’ve been making more mistakes lately. Self-doubt is mounting as you continue to second guess yourself. It seems as though you’re agonizing over decisions, overthinking what is best or right, terrified of making the wrong decision. Sometimes, it feels like you’re frozen in fear, and you are not sure what to do next.
You’re irritated
You’ve been moody, edgy, even downright angry at times, feeling completely intolerant of others. You want to socialize and enjoy your friends and family, but you feel so irritable that you decide to avoid everyone as much as you can. You realize that you’re feeling extra, but people are just driving you crazy. You find yourself replaying scenarios trying to make sense of things, wondering, “Is it me or is it them?”
You’re ready…

OCD and Anxiety & How They Are Connected: Insights from an Orlando Therapist
Written by: Lauran Hahn, LMHC
Do you have this constant need to control your surroundings or your thoughts only to feel powerless and worn out as a result? In your daily routine, you might do the same things repeatedly to try to calm your anxiety or spend ages worrying about whether you forgot to finish, unplug, or left something undone, afraid that even the tiniest mistake could lead to a disaster.
Living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety can feel overwhelming. It can feel like intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors are often taking control of your day, your relationships, and your life. At Mindful Living Counseling, Orlando, FL, we understand how discouraging and exhausting this can be. Our anxiety therapist provides a safe environment to break free from these cycles and regain peace of mind.
Understanding the connection between OCD and anxiety is the first step toward finding relief. As an Orlando Therapist, I will guide you in understanding this connection, whether you're seeking anxiety therapy or looking to understand these challenges better.
